WHY EDIBLES AND TINCURES?

Because both tinctures and edibles have to pass through the gastrointestinal system to enter your body, they offer many of the same benefits. Swallowing cannabinoids has been found to provide medium effects for a longer period of time.

EDIBLES

Edibles are food products that contain cannabis compounds such as cannabinoids or terpenes.

You’re probably most familiar with edible gummies, but there are many other types of edible foods,

   including:

  • Cookies

  • Candy

  • Butter

  • Chewing gum

  • Drinks

  • Chocolate

To consume edibles you simply eat them as you would any other food. Dosing will depend on the type of edible product you chose and its cannabinoid makeup. Edibles typically contain either THC, CBD, or a mixture of both.

Taking an edible can literally be as easy as eating candy, which also makes them a great, subtle way to consume cannabis.

TINCTURE

Cannabis tinctures are liquid, cannabis-infused products. The products are made by using a solvent like alcohol to pull the terpenes and cannabinoids like CBD and THC from the plant. The final product is essentially alcohol that is infused with the pertinent components of the cannabis plant.

Sublingual consumption is one of the best ways to use a tincture if you want stronger, faster effects. Put the dose under your tongue and hold it there for 1 minute before swallowing. This method allows cannabis to hit your bloodstream quickly. You can also drop the tincture into your mouth and swallow right away, but the effects will be more subtle and require more time to take effect.
